Kate Meakin is a Naarm/Melbourne based artist who works with photography, film and assemblage sculpture. She is a current PhD candidate at RMIT University where she is developing a film project exploring contemporary ideas about beauty, aesthetic labour and photography through looking at the ‘behind the scenes’ dynamics of fashion photo-shoots. She often works in collaboration with other artists and designers as a photographer or cinematographer.
